Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural design: Spearhead the end-to-end design of complex, high-performance systems for our 2026 mission goals, ensuring seamless integration of hardware and software components.
- Drive innovation: Identify and evaluate emerging technologies (Quantum Computing, AI, Propulsion Systems) to enhance system capabilities and drive competitive advantage.
- Technical leadership: Mentor a team of junior engineers and architects, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Risk management: Conduct rigorous system analysis to identify potential vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies for high-stakes operational environments.
- Prototyping & Validation: Oversee the development of proof-of-concept prototypes and validate them against stringent safety and performance standards.
Qualifications
- Education: Masterβs or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field from a top-tier institution.
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in systems architecture, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the tech or aerospace industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, C++, and Rust; extensive knowledge of distributed systems, cloud architecture, and edge computing.
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to solve complex, ambiguous problems under pressure with limited data.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts to stakeholders across engineering, product, and executive teams.
