- Proofread and edit transcripts to ensure they are free from errors in grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Adhere to strict medical terminology and formatting guidelines to maintain compliance.
- Manage multiple files and deadlines efficiently to ensure timely delivery of reports.
- Communicate with healthcare providers to clarify any unclear audio segments when necessary.
- Participate in ongoing training to stay updated with the latest transcription technologies and industry standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or higher in a related field preferred.
- Minimum typing speed of 50 words per minute (WPM) with a high degree of accuracy (98%+).
- Strong command of the English language, including grammar and spelling.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and transcription practices is highly preferred.
- Reliable internet connection and a quiet home office environment.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
