Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe medical reports, patient histories, and physician notes
- Utilize specialized software for voice-to-text conversion and editing
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient records and sensitive information
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and healthcare documentation standards
- Proofread transcripts for grammar, spelling, and medical terminology accuracy
- Manage transcription queues to meet daily production targets
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify unclear dictations
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of medical transcription experience
- Certified Medical Transcriptionist (CMT) preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and transcription software (e.g., Express Scribe)
- Exceptional typing speed (85+ WPM) with 98%+ accuracy
- Deep knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and quality assurance skills
