Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe medical dictations into patient records with 98.5%+ accuracy
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance protocols and patient confidentiality standards
- Utilize advanced transcription software with automated quality checks
- Manage multiple client accounts with varying medical specialties
- Perform quality assurance reviews and edit transcriptions for completeness
- Meet daily productivity targets while maintaining exceptional quality
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve unclear dictations
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of medical transcription experience
- Credential: Registered Healthcare Documentation Specialist (RHDS) or CMT
- Proficiency in medical terminology (anatomy, pharmacology, diagnostics)
- Minimum 85 WPM typing speed with 99% accuracy
- Advanced knowledge of EHR systems (Epic/Cerner preferred)
- Exceptional grammar, punctuation, and editing skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
