- Convert audio files into high-quality, verbatim text documents using the equipment provided by the company.
- Proofread and edit transcripts for grammar, punctuation, flow, and factual accuracy before submission.
- Adhere to specific client formatting guidelines and style sheets consistently.
- Meet daily and weekly production quotas while maintaining high accuracy standards.
- Manage file uploads and communicate effectively with project managers regarding any technical issues or complex audio segments.
- Utilize industry-specific medical or legal terminology databases as required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in transcription or a related field (minimum 1-2 years preferred).
- Exceptional listening skills and the ability to distinguish between multiple speakers.
- Must be proficient in the use of transcription foot pedals and headphones.
- Strong command of the English language, including grammar and spelling.
- Must have a dedicated, noise-free home office environment.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines without supervision.
