Responsibilities
- Lead development of 2026 technology roadmap through horizon scanning and trend analysis
- Architect strategic frameworks for emerging tech adoption (quantum, AI, biotech)
- Direct cross-functional teams in prototyping and piloting next-gen solutions
- Establish innovation KPIs and track ROI of future technology investments
- Present strategic vision to executive stakeholders and industry thought leaders
- Build partnerships with academic institutions and R&D labs
- Anticipate disruptive threats and opportunity vectors in 5-10 year timeframe
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning or emerging tech roles
- Proven track record in commercializing futuristic technologies
- Expertise in at least two of: AI/ML, quantum computing, synthetic biology, or neurotech
- Experience with scenario planning and long-term forecasting methodologies
- Strong data modeling skills with ability to quantify abstract future trends
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futures Studies
