- Conduct horizon scanning of emerging technologies (neuromorphic chips, synthetic biology, quantum AI) to identify competitive advantages
- Present strategic technology roadmaps to board members with clear ROI projections and risk mitigation plans
- Establish partnerships with NASA, DARPA, and global research institutions for collaborative R&D initiatives
- Mentor a team of futurists and technology architects to cultivate cutting-edge expertise
- Drive innovation governance frameworks ensuring ethical deployment of transformative technologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurism; PhD preferred with specialization in emerging technologies
- 12+ years in technology strategy with proven track record of commercializing breakthrough innovations
- Deep expertise in quantum computing, AI ethics, and decentralized systems (blockchain, DAOs)
- Published thought leadership in IEEE Nature or similar journals on future technology trends
- Experience securing federal grants (SBIR, NIH) for experimental technology development
- Executive presence with board-level presentation skills and stakeholder management expertise
- Proficiency in technology forecasting methodologies (Delphi, scenario planning) and patent portfolio development
