Responsibilities
- Transcribe dictation from physicians and healthcare professionals into accurate medical reports
- Ensure proper formatting, grammar, and punctuation in all transcribed documents
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance standards
- Utilize advanced transcription software and digital foot pedals efficiently
- Perform quality self-reviews and edit transcriptions for accuracy
- Meet daily productivity targets while maintaining 98%+ accuracy
- Collaborate with quality assurance team for continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of medical transcription experience
- Proficient in medical terminology and anatomy/physiology
- Ability to type 70+ WPM with exceptional accuracy
- Familiarity with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) preferred
- Strong attention to detail and grammatical precision
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and quiet workspace
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
