Responsibilities
- Equipment Operation: Safely and efficiently operate heavy machinery and support equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, to move materials.
- Maintenance Checks: Perform daily pre-shift inspections and routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, verify shipments, and assist in the accurate logging of inventory using digital management systems.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety protocols and company guidelines to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Issue Resolution: Identify operational bottlenecks during the night shift and resolve issues independently or escalate them to the supervisor promptly.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with day-shift personnel to ensure seamless transition and continuity of operations.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a support or logistics role, preferably in a night shift environment.
- License: Valid Driverβs License required; Forklift certification (Class A, B, or C) is highly preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, stand for long periods, and work in varying temperature conditions.
- Availability: Must be available to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM or similar).
- Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy and experience with inventory management software or handheld scanners.
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
