Responsibilities
- Manage Patient Schedules: Coordinate appointments, referrals, and follow-ups using electronic health record (EHR) systems to ensure efficient clinic operations.
- Patient Communication: Answer inbound calls and emails professionally, providing accurate information regarding scheduling, insurance, and office hours.
- Data Entry & Documentation: Maintain accurate patient records, verify insurance information, and update scheduling databases in real-time.
- Registration & Intake: Process new patient registrations, collect required documentation, and ensure a welcoming check-in experience for every visitor.
- Workflow Coordination: Collaborate with clinical staff and providers to optimize daily schedules and handle urgent appointment requests.
- Administrative Support: Handle incoming mail, process referrals, and assist with billing inquiries as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Healthcare Administration preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in medical scheduling, reception, or customer service is a plus, but we provide comprehensive paid training for motivated candidates.
- Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with EHR software is advantageous.
