Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing quantum-resistant encryption protocols
- Design and implement error-correction algorithms for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Secure $5M+ in annual research grants from federal and private institutions
- Publish breakthrough findings in Nature/Science journals and industry conferences
- Mentor PhD researchers and establish patent portfolios for commercialization
- Partner with MIT and Stanford on quantum supremacy initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years hands-on experience with superconducting qubits or ion-trap systems
- Proven track record of peer-reviewed publications in quantum computing
- Expertise in quantum algorithms (Shor's, Grover's, VQE)
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit simulation frameworks
- Experience securing DoD or NSF research funding
- Strong knowledge of quantum-classical hybrid architectures
