Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for cryptography and optimization problems
- Design and implement error mitigation strategies in quantum systems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy protocols
- Collaborate with hardware teams to improve qubit coherence times
- Publish research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and drive cross-functional innovation sprints
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing experience
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Published work in quantum algorithm design or error correction
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex analysis
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum systems
- Proven ability to secure research grants from NSF/DARPA
