Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop quantum error mitigation techniques for fault-tolerant computing
- Lead experimental validation of quantum systems using advanced cryogenic setups
- Collaborate with hardware teams to integrate quantum processors with classical interfaces
- Publish high-impact research in peer-reviewed journals and industry whitepapers
- Mentor junior researchers and drive innovation through cross-functional hackathons
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing conferences (QIP, QCE)
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and low-level quantum control systems
- Demonstrated success in translating theoretical concepts into experimental prototypes
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex analysis
- US citizenship or permanent residency required for government contract work
