Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing error-corrected qubit architectures
- Publish high-impact research in Nature/Science journals and industry white papers
- Develop quantum machine learning frameworks for real-world applications
- Secure $1M+ in NSF/DoD research grants for quantum initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Partner with Fortune 500 clients to solve 2026-era computational challenges
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research with superconducting/ion trap systems
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing conferences (QIP, IEEE Quantum Week)
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum circuit optimization frameworks
- Experience with cryogenic engineering and qubit control systems
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical models into experimental implementations
- Strong background in topological quantum computing or fault-tolerant architectures
