Responsibilities
- Monitor and moderate real-time chat conversations across multiple platforms (social media, forums, live streams)
- Enforce community guidelines with professionalism and discretion while de-escalating conflicts
- Identify and report inappropriate content, spam, or policy violations to the moderation team
- Provide exceptional user support through chat channels, answering inquiries and resolving issues
- Collaborate with the content team to improve moderation protocols and user experience
- Maintain accurate records of moderation actions and user interactions
- Participate in training sessions to stay updated on platform features and policies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in digital moderation preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in customer service, moderation, or community management
- Exceptional written communication skills with ability to maintain neutral tone
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make quick judgment calls
- Proficient in typing with minimum 60 WPM and multitasking capabilities
- Reliable high-speed internet and quiet home office environment
- Available to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends
- Familiarity with moderation tools (e.g., ModSquad, Talkdesk) a plus
