Responsibilities
- Monitor and moderate live chat conversations across multiple platforms (social media, websites, messaging apps) to ensure compliance with community guidelines
- Provide immediate, professional responses to user inquiries while de-escalating conflicts with empathy and precision
- Document and report policy violations, suspicious activities, and emerging trends to the moderation team
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve user experience and refine moderation protocols
- Maintain detailed activity logs and performance metrics for quality assurance purposes
- Participate in ongoing training sessions to stay updated on platform policies and best practices
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in customer service, community moderation, or similar role
- Exceptional written communication skills with impeccable grammar and spelling
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure during high-volume interactions
- Strong decision-making skills with sound judgment in ambiguous situations
- Proficient in typing (minimum 60 WPM) and navigating multiple digital platforms simultaneously
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and quiet home office environment
- Must reside within Irvine, CA area (or willing to relocate for position)
