Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) during night shift hours
- Investigate potential security incidents, determine scope, and coordinate remediation actions
- Document incident reports and maintain detailed security event logs
- Collaborate with global teams during cross-continental threat response operations
- Conduct vulnerability scans and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Stay current on emerging threats and update security protocols accordingly
- Participate in shift handovers and provide detailed briefings to day-shift analysts
Qualifications
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with SOC/NOC operations background
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in network security tools (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, EDR)
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (e.g., Recorded Future, CrowdStrike)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently during night shifts
- Excellent written communication for incident reporting and documentation
- Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance (required)
