Our platform connects you with K-12 students needing support in core subjects like Math, Science, English, and SAT/ACT prep. As an independent contractor, you'll set your availability and choose subjects that align with your expertise. We provide comprehensive training, digital resources, and ongoing support to ensure your success.
Responsibilities
- Del engaging 1-on-1 and small-group virtual tutoring sessions via our proprietary video platform
- Develop customized lesson plans aligned with Virginia state curriculum standards
- Track student progress through our digital dashboard and provide progress reports
- Communicate effectively with parents and students regarding academic goals
- Utilize interactive digital tools (whiteboards, simulations, etc.) to enhance learning
- Maintain accurate session records and submit weekly progress reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of tutoring or teaching experience (K-12 focus preferred)
- Expert knowledge in at least 2 core subjects (Math/Science/English)
- Proficiency with video conferencing and digital teaching tools
- Valid Virginia teaching license or relevant subject certification
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to adapt teaching methods
- Reliable high-speed internet and quiet home workspace
