Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging 1:1 and small-group virtual tutoring sessions in core subjects (Math, Science, English, History)
- Develop customized lesson plans aligned with Louisiana State Standards and individual student goals
- Monitor student progress through our digital platform and provide detailed feedback
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student achievements and areas for improvement
- Utilize interactive digital tools (virtual whiteboards, multimedia resources) to enhance learning experiences
- Participate in ongoing professional development and curriculum refinement initiatives
- Maintain accurate session records and student progress documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant subject field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of teaching/tutoring experience, preferably in K-12 or adult education
- Strong proficiency in online tutoring platforms (Zoom, Google Classroom, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills with ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles
- Deep knowledge of Louisiana educational standards and curriculum requirements
- Proven ability to motivate students and build academic confidence
- Reliable high-speed internet and quiet home office environment
- Background check clearance and valid Louisiana teaching certification (if applicable)
