Responsibilities
- Deliver one-on-one and small group virtual tutoring sessions in core subjects (Math, Science, English, Social Studies)
- Develop customized lesson plans aligned with Texas state standards and student learning objectives
- Monitor student progress through our digital tracking system and provide detailed progress reports
- Communicate effectively with parents, students, and academic advisors regarding student performance
- Utilize interactive whiteboards, educational software, and multimedia resources during sessions
- Participate in ongoing training to enhance tutoring techniques and subject expertise
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant subject field (or equivalent experience)
- Texas teaching certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Minimum 2 years of tutoring or classroom teaching experience
- Proficiency with virtual tutoring platforms and educational technology
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to build rapport with students
- Strong subject matter expertise in at least 2 core academic areas
- Reliable high-speed internet and quiet home office setup
