Responsibilities
- Deliver 1:1 and small-group virtual tutoring sessions in core subjects (Math, ELA, Science)
- Develop customized learning plans aligned with Chicago Public Schools curriculum standards
- Utilize digital tools (Zoom, interactive whiteboards) for engaging virtual instruction
- Provide detailed progress reports and parent consultations quarterly
- Collaborate with curriculum specialists to refine tutoring methodologies
- Maintain 95%+ student attendance and satisfaction metrics
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (Master's preferred)
- Illinois teaching certification (or eligible for substitute certification)
- 2+ years K-12 classroom or tutoring experience
- Proficiency in virtual teaching platforms and digital assessment tools
- Excellent communication skills with ability to connect with diverse learners
- Background check and child safety clearance required
- Availability for weekday evening and weekend sessions (CST)
