Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging 1-on-1 and small-group virtual instruction in core subjects (Math, Science, English, History)
- Develop personalized lesson plans aligned with Texas state standards and student learning goals
- Monitor student progress through our digital platform and provide detailed feedback
- Prepare students for standardized tests (SAT/ACT, STAAR) with targeted test-prep strategies
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student achievements and areas for improvement
- Utilize interactive tools (virtual whiteboards, simulations) to enhance remote learning experiences
- Participate in ongoing training to stay current with educational methodologies and technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (Master's preferred)
- Texas state teaching certification or equivalent tutoring credentials
- Minimum 2 years of K-12 tutoring or classroom experience
- Proficiency in virtual teaching platforms (Zoom, Google Classroom, our proprietary system)
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to adapt teaching to diverse learning styles
- Strong subject matter expertise in at least two core academic areas
- Background check and fingerprinting clearance (required)
