Responsibilities
- Conduct one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions via Zoom or our proprietary learning management system.
- Develop and adapt lesson plans to align with student curriculum and individual learning styles.
- Track student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents/guardians.
- Maintain a professional and encouraging virtual environment to keep students engaged.
- Communicate regularly with academic coordinators to ensure curriculum adherence.
- Grade assignments and quizzes in a timely and accurate manner.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, English, Math, Science, or a related field (or equivalent teaching experience).
- Current teaching certification or state licensure is highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in English grammar, reading comprehension, and writing.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot basic technology issues and use video conferencing tools.
- Must reside in the United States (Los Angeles, CA preferred for tax compliance).
- High-speed internet connection and a quiet workspace.
