Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging 1-on-1 and small-group virtual tutoring sessions
- Develop customized lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards
- Track student progress and provide detailed feedback to parents
- Utilize digital tools (Zoom, interactive whiteboards) for dynamic sessions
- Collaborate with academic advisors to address learning gaps
- Maintain accurate session logs and student documentation
- Participate in monthly tutor training webinars
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Tennessee teaching certification preferred
- Proven expertise in at least 2 academic subjects (Math, ELA, Science)
- Experience with virtual tutoring platforms (Khan Academy, Chegg, etc.)
- Strong communication skills and cultural responsiveness
- Ability to engage students through interactive digital methods
- Background check and child safety clearance required
- Minimum 1 year teaching/tutoring experience
