Responsibilities
- Deliver 1-on-1 and small group virtual tutoring sessions in Math, Science, English, and standardized test prep
- Develop customized lesson plans aligned with Florida educational standards and student learning objectives
- Utilize interactive digital tools (Zoom, Kahoot, Nearpod) to create engaging virtual classroom experiences
- Track student progress through our proprietary learning management system and provide detailed progress reports
- Communicate effectively with parents and school administrators regarding student achievements and areas for improvement
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance tutoring methodologies and subject expertise
- Maintain a positive, patient, and encouraging learning environment tailored to individual student needs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, STEM field, or related subject (Master's preferred)
- 2+ years of teaching/tutoring experience with proven student achievement results
- Proficiency in virtual teaching platforms and educational technology tools
- Strong subject matter expertise in at least one core academic area
- Excellent communication skills with ability to adapt teaching styles to diverse learners
- Valid Florida teaching certification or equivalent (out-of-state candidates welcome)
- Reliable high-speed internet and dedicated home office space
- Background check clearance and willingness to complete child safety training
