Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging 1:1 and small group virtual tutoring sessions in core academic subjects
- Develop customized lesson plans aligned with Florida state standards and individual student needs
- Utilize interactive digital platforms (Zoom, Kami, Khan Academy) for dynamic instruction
- Monitor student progress through regular assessments and provide constructive feedback
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student achievements and areas for improvement
- Collaborate with our curriculum team to enhance tutoring materials and methodologies
- Maintain accurate session records and progress reports in our learning management system
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, STEM, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of tutoring or teaching experience (virtual experience highly valued)
- Florida teaching certification or equivalent academic credentials
- Proficiency in online tutoring tools and digital assessment platforms
- Strong communication skills with ability to adapt teaching styles to diverse learners
- Availability for weekday evening and weekend sessions (Miami time zone)
- Passion for education and commitment to student-centered learning approaches
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) proficiency strongly preferred for Miami market
