Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging 1:1 and small-group virtual sessions in core academic subjects (Math, Science, ELA, Social Studies)
- Develop customized lesson plans aligned with NY State curriculum standards and student learning goals
- Monitor student progress through our LMS and provide detailed performance feedback
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student achievements and areas for improvement
- Utilize interactive digital tools (whiteboards, simulations, multimedia resources) to enhance learning
- Participate in ongoing training on pedagogical best practices and emerging educational technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant subject area (Master's preferred)
- Valid NY State teaching certification or equivalent tutoring credentials
- Minimum 2 years experience in virtual classroom environments or online education
- Expertise in NY State curriculum standards and standardized test preparation ( Regents, SAT, ACT)
- Exceptional communication skills with demonstrated ability to connect with diverse student demographics
- Proficiency in video conferencing platforms and digital educational tools
- Background check and fingerprint clearance compliant with NY DOE requirements
