Responsibilities
- Deliver 1-on-1 and small-group virtual tutoring sessions via our secure video platform
- Develop customized lesson plans aligned with Oklahoma State curriculum standards
- Monitor student progress and provide detailed progress reports to parents
- Utilize interactive digital tools (whiteboards, simulations, assessments) to enhance engagement
- Collaborate with academic advisors to address learning gaps and adjust teaching strategies
- Participate in ongoing professional development workshops and peer mentoring sessions
- Maintain accurate session documentation and student achievement records
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, subject-specific field, or equivalent experience
- 1+ years of formal teaching, tutoring, or relevant instructional experience
- Oklahoma teaching certification preferred (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Proficiency in virtual tutoring platforms and digital educational tools
- Strong diagnostic skills to identify learning challenges and adapt teaching methods
- Excellent communication skills with students, parents, and academic teams
- High-speed internet connection and quiet home office environment
