Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging 1:1 and small-group virtual tutoring sessions in core subjects (Math, Science, ELA, Social Studies)
- Assess student learning needs and adapt teaching strategies using our proprietary diagnostic tools
- Develop customized lesson plans aligned with Nebraska state standards and curriculum requirements
- Track student progress and provide detailed feedback to parents and academic advisors
- Collaborate with our education team to refine tutoring methodologies and content
- Maintain accurate session records and participate in quarterly professional development workshops
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, STEM, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Nebraska teaching certification preferred (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- 2+ years of tutoring or classroom teaching experience with K-12 students
- Proficiency in virtual tutoring platforms (Zoom, Google Classroom, our proprietary system)
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to build rapport with diverse learners
- Strong subject matter expertise in at least two core academic areas
- Reliable high-speed internet and quiet home office environment
