Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging 1:1 and small-group virtual tutoring sessions in mathematics, science, language arts, or social studies
- Develop customized lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and individual learning objectives
- Monitor student progress through regular assessments and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians to provide progress updates and actionable feedback
- Maintain accurate session records and student documentation in our learning management system
- Collaborate with academic advisors to address learning gaps and implement intervention strategies
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance tutoring methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant subject field (Master's preferred)
- PA state teaching certification or equivalent tutoring credentials
- 2+ years of experience in online or classroom instruction
- Expertise in at least one core subject (Math, ELA, Science, or History)
- Proficiency with video conferencing tools (Zoom, Google Meet) and interactive learning platforms
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to adapt teaching styles to diverse learners
- Passion for education and commitment to student achievement
- Reliable high-speed internet and quiet home office environment
