Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging 1:1 and small-group virtual tutoring sessions via our interactive platform
- Develop customized lesson plans aligned with state standards and individual student needs
- Track student progress and provide detailed performance reports to parents
- Utilize digital tools (whiteboards, simulations, assessment software) for dynamic instruction
- Maintain subject expertise through continuous professional development
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and academic coordinators
- Participate in ongoing training on pedagogical best practices and platform features
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Mathematics, Science, or related field
- 1+ years of tutoring or teaching experience (K-12 focus preferred)
- Proficiency in virtual tutoring platforms and digital educational tools
- Strong subject matter expertise in at least two core subjects
- Excellent communication skills and ability to connect with diverse learners
- North Carolina teaching certification (or eligibility for certification)
- Background check clearance and reliable home office setup
- Availability for evening and weekend sessions
