Responsibilities
- Deliver 1-on-1 and small-group virtual tutoring sessions in core subjects (Math, Science, English, History)
- Develop customized lesson plans aligned with Virginia Beach curriculum standards and student learning objectives
- Monitor student progress and provide detailed progress reports to parents and academic advisors
- Utilize interactive digital tools (virtual whiteboards, multimedia resources) to create dynamic learning experiences
- Collaborate with our education team to refine tutoring methodologies and content resources
- Maintain accurate session documentation and student achievement records
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant subject field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of tutoring or classroom teaching experience
- Proficiency in virtual tutoring platforms (Zoom, Google Classroom, etc.) and digital educational tools
- Strong subject matter expertise in at least two core academic areas
- Virginia teaching certification (or ability to obtain within 60 days)
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to adapt teaching styles to diverse learners
- Reliable high-speed internet and dedicated home office space
