Responsibilities
- Listen to audio recordings and transcribe them into accurate, readable documents.
- Adhere to strict formatting and confidentiality guidelines established by MediScript Solutions.
- Proofread and edit transcripts for grammar, punctuation, and spelling errors before submission.
- Manage daily transcription quotas and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and legal professionals regarding unclear audio or specific terminology.
- Utilize speech recognition software and transcription tools efficiently.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or certification in Medical Transcription is preferred.
- Proven experience in transcription (medical or legal) with a minimum typing speed of 60 WPM.
- Excellent command of the English language, including grammar and syntax.
- Ability to maintain strict patient/client confidentiality at all times.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet workspace.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and specialized transcription software.
