Responsibilities
- Convert audio files into accurate, formatted text documents using industry-standard software.
- Proofread and edit transcripts for grammar, punctuation, and factual accuracy to ensure a polished final product.
- Ensure strict adherence to client-specific formatting and style guidelines (e.g., AP, Chicago, or in-house styles).
- Meet daily and weekly production quotas within tight turnaround times without compromising quality.
- Communicate effectively with the transcription team and project managers regarding complex audio or content queries.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive client data and proprietary information.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of professional transcription experience (Medical or General preferred).
- Proficient typing speed of 60+ words per minute with a high accuracy rate (98%+).
- Strong command of the English language, including advanced grammar, spelling, and vocabulary.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated, noise-free home workspace.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage your own time effectively.
- Basic knowledge of transcription tools (e.g., Express Scribe, Dragon NaturallySpeaking) is a plus.
