What You Will Do:
- Manage complex calendars for physicians and medical staff, optimizing daily schedules to reduce wait times.
- Schedule new patient consultations, follow-up appointments, and procedural visits while verifying insurance eligibility.
- Communicate effectively with patients via phone and email to confirm appointments and provide necessary pre-procedure instructions.
- Monitor and maintain patient records in our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Resolve scheduling conflicts and special requests promptly to ensure provider availability.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Healthcare Administration is a plus.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in medical office administration, scheduling, or reception.
- Proficient in using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Appointment Management: Oversee the daily scheduling of patient appointments to maximize provider productivity.
- Patient Communication: Act as the primary point of contact, answering inquiries and providing updates regarding appointment status.
- Administrative Support: Handle data entry, file management, and correspondence related to patient visits.
- System Management: Utilize scheduling software and EHR systems to update patient information and track visit history.
- Conflict Resolution: Address scheduling issues professionally to ensure minimal disruption to patient care.

- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Proven experience in a medical scheduling or administrative role.
- Technical Proficiency: Comfortable with EMR/EHR systems and Microsoft Office.
- Soft Skills: Strong organizational, time-management, and interpersonal skills.
- Requirements: Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
