Responsibilities
- Transcribe complex medical reports, patient histories, and clinical notes with 98.5% accuracy
- Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards
- Utilize advanced transcription software (e.g., Express Scribe, Dragon Medical)
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to clarify ambiguous dictations
- Maintain consistent formatting and style across all documentation
- Train junior transcriptionists on quality protocols and software usage
- Conduct quality assurance reviews for assigned workloads
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of medical transcription experience
- Certificate in Medical Transcription (AHDI-registered preferred)
- Proficiency in medical terminology (anatomy, pharmacology, diagnostic procedures)
- Typing speed of 80+ WPM with 98% accuracy
- Familiarity with EHR systems (EPIC, Cerner)
- Exceptional attention to detail and grammar skills
- Ability to manage high-volume workloads under tight deadlines
- Strong problem-solving skills for unclear dictations
