Responsibilities
- Lead horizon-scanning initiatives to identify disruptive technologies and societal shifts impacting 2026+ landscapes
- Develop and execute multi-year innovation roadmaps aligned with organizational vision and market disruption
- Partner with product teams to integrate future-proofing principles into development lifecycles
- Establish strategic alliances with academic institutions, startups, and industry pioneers
- Deliver compelling future-state scenarios to executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams
- Champion ethical innovation frameworks for emerging technologies (AI, quantum, biotech)
- Author thought leadership publications and keynote presentations at global forums
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic innovation, futures research, or technology foresight roles
- Proven track record of developing and implementing 5+ year innovation roadmaps
- Expertise in emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, synthetic biology, AR/VR)
- Exceptional systems thinking and scenario planning capabilities
- Experience with horizon scanning methodologies (Delphi, STEEP analysis, etc.)
- PhD or Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Innovation, or related field
- Portfolio of published futurist work or large-scale transformation projects
- Deep network within Silicon Valley innovation ecosystems
