Responsibilities
- Lead strategic foresight initiatives to identify and evaluate emerging technologies with 5-10 year market impact
- Develop technology adoption roadmaps aligned with business objectives and market disruption timelines
- Build and manage an innovation lab prototyping next-gen solutions in AI, quantum, and biotech
- Present future scenarios to executive leadership and board members with data-driven recommendations
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and research organizations for technology scouting
- Manage $5M+ innovation budget with ROI-focused resource allocation
- Mentor technical teams in future-proofing systems and architectures
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D management, or innovation leadership
- Proven track record of forecasting tech trends (demonstrable via published research or patents)
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging domains: quantum computing, synthetic biology, or AGI
- Executive presence with ability to influence C-suite and board-level stakeholders
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
