Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a 5-year technology roadmap aligning with market trends and disruptive innovation
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping and validating emerging technologies (quantum computing, neuromorphic chips, synthetic biology)
- Establish strategic partnerships with research institutions (MIT, Stanford, ETH Zurich) and tech accelerators
- Conduct competitive analysis and scenario planning for technological disruption across 15+ industries
- Present strategic insights to C-suite executives and board members with data-driven recommendations
- Drive innovation culture through internal hackathons and external thought leadership
- Manage $5M+ annual R&D budget for future technology exploration
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 10+ years tech strategy experience
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies (AI, blockchain, IoT, quantum)
- Expertise in technology forecasting methodologies and market adoption curves
- Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks for emerging technologies (FDA, FCC, EU AI Act)
- Exceptional communication skills articulating complex concepts to diverse stakeholders
- Portfolio demonstrating leadership in at least two breakthrough technology implementations
- Published research in IEEE Nature or peer-reviewed tech journals
