Responsibilities
- Architect and execute the 2026 technology innovation roadmap
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies (quantum computing, bio-integrated AI, neural interfaces)
- Secure strategic partnerships with academic institutions and R&D labs
- Lead patent development for proprietary innovations
- Present technology forecasts to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Mentor a team of 5+ futurists and R&D specialists
- Manage $5M+ annual innovation budget
Qualifications
- 15+ years in tech strategy with 5+ years in emerging technologies
- Proven track record launching market-defining products
- Expertise in horizon scanning and technology forecasting
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science/Engineering or related field
- Strong network with global research institutions
- Certification in Technology Futures or Innovation Management
- Published research in peer-reviewed journals
- Experience securing government/VC funding for R&D
