Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 3-5 year technology roadmaps aligned with market evolution and corporate vision
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies (quantum computing, neuro-interfaces, synthetic biology) for strategic integration
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with R&D, engineering, and product teams
- Conduct competitive landscape analysis and scenario planning for 2026+ technological shifts
- Present strategic recommendations to executive leadership and board stakeholders
- Establish KPIs for technology adoption ROI and innovation pipeline efficiency
- Build and maintain external partnerships with academic institutions and research labs
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership, with 5+ years in future-tech planning
- Proven track record translating emerging trends into commercialized solutions
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains: AI/ML, quantum computing, biotech, or sustainable energy
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business/Technology MBA
- Exceptional data modeling and scenario planning capabilities using predictive analytics
- Certification in strategic foresight or technology forecasting (e.g., CFTE, APF)
- Experience scaling innovation initiatives in Fortune 500 or high-growth tech environments
- Strong understanding of ethical AI frameworks and sustainable technology principles
