Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 innovation strategy, identifying emerging technologies and market shifts with 5-10 year foresight
- Lead scenario planning workshops for C-suite, translating complex futures into strategic pivots
- Partner with R&D to prototype breakthrough solutions addressing 2026 global challenges
- Establish cross-industry alliances with academic institutions and tech pioneers
- Author the annual 'Future Horizons' report influencing $2B+ portfolio decisions
- Mentor a team of futurists and innovation specialists
- Drive adoption of foresight methodologies across 15+ business units
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Innovation, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in innovation strategy, foresight, or R&D leadership at Fortune 500 scale
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies (AI, biotech, quantum)
- Expertise in trend analysis, scenario planning, and horizon scanning frameworks
- Published thought leadership in futures/innovation (minimum 3 peer-reviewed articles)
- Experience with neurotech, climate modeling, or space commercialization ecosystems
- Exceptional storytelling ability to translate complex futures into stakeholder alignment
- Certification in Strategic Foresight (e.g., AC/FS) or equivalent
