As a key member of our R&D division, you'll lead the development of scalable quantum architectures, collaborate with government and industry partners on quantum security initiatives, and contribute to breakthroughs in quantum machine learning applications. Our Austin campus features a dedicated quantum lab with cryogenic systems and proprietary error-correction platforms.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures for commercial applications
- Lead quantum algorithm development for optimization and simulation problems
- Collaborate with hardware teams on qubit coherence and error-correction systems
- Develop quantum security protocols for next-gen communications infrastructure
- Drive quantum machine learning integration into enterprise solutions
- Present quantum computing roadmaps to C-suite executives and investors
- Mentor junior quantum engineers and publish research in peer-reviewed journals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (MS with 5+ years experience considered)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing architecture design experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (ion traps, superconducting qubits, photonics)
- Strong background in complex algorithm development and optimization
- Published research in quantum computing or related field
- Ability to communicate quantum concepts to non-technical stakeholders
