Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Develop novel error-correction techniques to maintain qubit coherence in multi-qubit systems
- Lead cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions into classical computing infrastructure
- Author breakthrough research papers for Nature Physics and IEEE Quantum Journal
- Architect hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks for enterprise clients
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to our quantum computing curriculum
- Secure $500K+ in annual research grants from NSF and DARPA
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of quantum research
- Published 3+ papers in top-tier quantum computing journals (Nature, Science, Physical Review X)
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and quantum circuit optimization
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum simulation frameworks (Quil, QASM)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Track record of translating quantum algorithms into real-world applications
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
