Responsibilities
- Listen to audio recordings of medical dictations and transcribe them into clear, accurate text.
- Proofread and edit transcripts for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and format consistency.
- Ensure all medical terminology is used correctly and adheres to strict industry standards.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient and client information (HIPAA compliance).
- Use transcription software and tools efficiently to meet daily production quotas.
- Communicate effectively with quality assurance teams regarding corrections and feedback.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Proven typing speed of at least 50 WPM.
- Experience with medical transcription and familiarity with medical terminology is highly preferred.
- Must have a quiet workspace and a reliable, high-speed internet connection.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
