Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 technical support for cybersecurity incidents during night shift hours (10 PM - 6 AM CT)
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for real-time threat detection
- Execute incident response protocols including containment, eradication, and recovery procedures
- Document all security incidents, actions, and resolutions in ticketing systems with precise detail
- Collaborate with global security teams during critical incident escalations
- Conduct vulnerability scans and penetration testing on client systems during off-peak hours
- Maintain security documentation including playbooks and runbooks
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years in IT support or cybersecurity operations
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification (required)
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST CSF)
- Strong analytical skills for threat correlation and pattern recognition
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts with minimal supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Valid U.S. work authorization and clean background check
