Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging 1-on-1 and small group virtual instruction in core academic subjects
- Develop customized lesson plans aligned with student learning objectives and curriculum standards
- Monitor student progress and provide detailed feedback to parents and academic advisors
- Utilize digital platforms (Zoom, interactive whiteboards, learning management systems) effectively
- Prepare students for standardized tests (SAT, ACT, FSA) and subject-specific assessments
- Maintain accurate session records and progress documentation
- Collaborate with curriculum team to enhance educational materials
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, STEM field, or related subject (Master's preferred)
- 2+ years of tutoring or classroom teaching experience
- Proven expertise in at least 2 academic subjects (Math, Science, English, etc.)
- Proficiency with online teaching tools and virtual communication platforms
- Strong diagnostic skills to identify learning gaps and adapt teaching methods
- Excellent interpersonal communication and motivational abilities
- Florida teaching certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Background check clearance required
