Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging 1:1 and small-group virtual tutoring sessions in mathematics, science, language arts, or SAT/ACT prep
- Develop customized lesson plans aligned with Oregon state standards and individual student goals
- Track student progress through our proprietary learning management system
- Provide timely feedback and progress reports to parents and academic advisors
- Participate in ongoing professional development workshops
- Maintain a positive, encouraging virtual classroom environment
- Collaborate with curriculum specialists to refine teaching methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant subject field (Master's preferred)
- 2+ years of teaching/tutoring experience with K-12 students
- Strong knowledge of Oregon curriculum standards and assessment frameworks
- Proficiency with virtual tutoring platforms (Zoom, Google Classroom, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to adapt to diverse learning styles
- Valid Oregon teaching license (or equivalent certification)
- Background check clearance and F-1 visa compliance for international candidates
- Availability for evening and weekend sessions (Pacific Time)
