Responsibilities
- Deliver 1:1 and small-group virtual instruction across multiple subjects (Math, Science, English, etc.)
- Develop personalized lesson plans aligned with student learning objectives and curriculum standards
- Utilize interactive digital tools (virtual whiteboards, simulations, multimedia resources) to enhance engagement
- Track student progress through regular assessments and provide detailed feedback to parents/students
- Collaborate with academic advisors to adjust teaching strategies based on performance data
- Maintain accurate session records and progress reports using our tutor portal
- Participate in ongoing professional development workshops and peer mentoring sessions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant subject field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of tutoring or classroom teaching experience
- Proven expertise in at least two academic subjects (STEM/ELA focus highly valued)
- Proficiency with video conferencing platforms (Zoom, Google Meet) and digital teaching tools
- California teaching credential or equivalent certification (e.g., CRLA Level II)
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to adapt teaching styles to diverse learners
- Background check clearance and reliable high-speed internet connection
- Availability for evening/weekend sessions (Pacific Time Zone)
