Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging 1:1 and small-group virtual tutoring sessions in Math, Science, ELA, or Social Studies
- Assess student learning needs and develop customized lesson plans aligned with IL state standards
- Track student progress and provide detailed feedback to parents and school partners
- Utilize our interactive digital platform (Zoom, Google Classroom, proprietary software)
- Collaborate with academic advisors to address specific student challenges
- Maintain accurate session logs and progress documentation
- Participate in ongoing training and curriculum development initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant subject field (Master's preferred)
- IL teaching certification or equivalent tutoring credentials
- 2+ years experience with K-12 students in virtual or classroom settings
- Proven ability to adapt teaching methods for diverse learning styles
- Strong tech proficiency with digital learning tools and platforms
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport remotely
- Background check clearance and reliable high-speed internet
- Availability for evening/weekend sessions (minimum 15 hrs/week)
